North Andover Senior Center Needs Volunteers

Become a Friendly Visitor through the Senior Center, and spend a couple of hours a week brightening the life of a home bound senior.

‘Tis the season of giving, but the one gift that seems to get overlooked and doesn’t cost a thing is the one of “time”. Become a Friendly Visitor through the Senior Center, and spend a couple of hours a week brightening the life of a home bound senior.

Getting old is a fact of life. Think of how it might feel being cognitively sound but your body no longer cooperates. So maybe you can’t see and/or hear as well or you’re not as mobile as you once were. But a homebound senior can still offer a wealth of knowledge, wisdom and stories. Just think this could be your grandparents, parents and even YOU someday. Haven’t we been told, “The mind is a terrible thing to waste?” Why not “pay it forward”?
