Great Escape - Pamper Yourself

Each week, we'll tell you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.

Pampering yourself with a new hairdo, freshly painted nails and toes, a facial, massage or a day at the spa is a fun way to welcome Spring and feel better about yourself. It's like shedding your winter skin and your frustration about the never-ending season.

Here's your escape: , Osgood Street, with its motto of Relax, Refresh and Renew has been a full-service salon since 1979, including 4 years in its current expanded location.

When clients book a spa package with a group of friends, they will be able to enjoy their "peaceful tranquility lounge complete with fireplace and restful views of Lake Cochichewick," according to the website.

"You will also able to bring your own snacks and drinks," explained Salon Manager Jill Cunha. In addition each client will receive a discount when they book any spa package over $300.

Cunha said right now they are not offering any other specials. But she expects a Mother's Day special, and clients signed up with their email or on Facebook sometimes receive unadvertised discounts.

The salon is very popular with moms who bring in their children for haircuts or get mother/daughter manicures, according to Cunha.

Bella Vita uses professionally-known hair skin and nail products. Cunha said Fairytales makes a rosemary shampoo which is very popular with North Andover moms because it repels lice. As soon as there is a outbreak in the schools, they always sell out of the product, she explained.

The Salon is open Tuesday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information and to make appointments the number is 978-682-5103 or visit the Web site.
