Group: Stop Berry Street Affordable Housing Plan

A group of citizens wants to torpedo an affordable housing complex planned for Berry Street.

Town officials last month approved the 196-unit apartment development.

The Berry Street Neighborhood Association opposes the project, arguing it would be a blight on open land and create traffic problems.

Some citizens have sponsored a petition asking the town to buy the land to stop the project in its tracks, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
