Helen Pickard for School Committee

To North Andover Voters

I am writing in enthusiastic support of Helen Pickard for North Andover School
Committee. I have worked with Helen for many years in many different volunteer
capacities and I have seen first hand her commitment and passion for making our
schools the best they can possibly be.

She is unwavering in giving of herself: her time, her knowledge, her experience. I know
she has gone into this campaign with the effort and preparation she brings to all of her
endeavors. Her attendance at school committee, board of selectmen, and town
meetings means she is well versed in our current issues. She is someone who is
unafraid to raise uncomfortable points and ask the difficult questions. But at the same
time she knows how to work with others to achieve a common goal. I urge voters to visit
her website, where she has the most detailed outline of positions and plans of any
school committee candidate. She has clearly thought about what is needed to move our
schools forward and how she can help make that happen.

Helen is endorsed by three current school committee members, who know better than
any of us what it takes to be an effective member of that committee. I hope you will join
them and me in voting for Helen Pickard.
