- School Crossing Guard - The North Andover Police Department is seeking full time crossing guards for the school year starting in September. Several positons will be opening up for full time crossing guards. - Tree Climber/Tree Surgeon - Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair and care of trees and shrubbery, and climbs trees and performs maintenance work such as preventing or repairing limb or trunk fractures by wiring or placing tree rods as needed. Also performs trimming, shaping, and cutting of trees and shrubbery; treats, sprays and fertilizes trees; operates and maintains power saws, spray equipment, and other miscellaneous tools and equipment; and operates motor equipment, aerial lift, and hoisting equipment in connection to such duties.
- Communications Officer - Responsible for providing communications between the public and police, fire and EMS agencies in North Andover including calls for emergency assistance, calls from citizens giving or requesting information, and calls from the public safety agencies to the citizens; answers E-9-1-1 emergency calls, provides Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) assistance, nonemergency calls, and dispatches public safety field personnel; maintains detailed police and fire logs; and performs other tasks as assigned by the Lead Dispatcher and/or Division Director. Candidate must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays and mandatory shifts as scheduled and/or on short notice.
- Drinking Water Plant Supervisor - Oversee the operation of the Town’s Drinking Water Treatment Plant including: maintain integrity of plant and related components; operation and maintenance of sewer pumping and water booster stations, ensure compliance with State and Federal drinking water regulations. Develop and manage the Water and Sewer Department budgets, manage staff of union and non-union personnel.
- Town Planner - Town Planner performs professional and technical work associated with planning, land use, and zoning, as well as many other aspects of community planning. Assists the Planning Board on site plan and special permit applications, developing bylaws and regulations, and coordinates the advancement and oversight of plans and studies. Position affords the opportunity to take on new challenges and oversee a variety of town projects having to do with trails, housing, economic development and the environment. Works with a variety of local and regional groups to realize the Town’s mission.
