The Historic Entrance Stairways are an important feature of the Library’s façade, part of its 1907 construction. Some repairs have been done over the years, however, the current issues with the stairs and brickwork require more than a repair this time. This Spring there is a project to remove the stairs and rebuild them. The completed project maintains the facade, reusing the granite steps. The project begins with the removal of the ½ walls and shrubs in the lawn. For more information on the project, visit the Historic Steps project here.
