Holiday Hidden Gem – Tripoli Bakery

Many may already be aware of the delicious baked goods and mouth watering Sicilian style pizza of Tripoli Bakery from their longstanding location in nearby Lawrence. However, you may not have realized that Tripoli’s opened a location here in North Andover in March.

The North Andover shop is located at 542 Turnpike St.in Crossroads Plaza behind Now the popular, fresh and made to order pizza is just down the street and for those just across Route 114 at Merrimack College; limited delivery service is available. This pizza recipe is made the same way it was first made over 90 years ago.

Tripoli’s fine selection of pastries, cakes, cookies and breads are made fresh at the Lawrence location and quickly transported to North Andover for our convenience and enjoyment.

Owned and operated by the Zappala family, Tripoli’s has come to be known for its exceptional quality and old school Italian bakery style. In addition to Lawrence and North Andover, they also have locations in Salisbury and Seabrook. They have been featured in The Phantom Gourmet, Ciao Italia and Taste of the Town.

Some will travel great distances just to get a taste of this local gem and now, during the holidays, Tripoli’s is a great location to stop in to pick up desserts for your own holiday table or treats to bring to those who are hosting you. Wrapped trays of Italian cookies and holiday inspired cakes make a lovely end to your holiday meal. Strawberry cake, cannoli and their famous Lobster Roll, crunchy pastry generously stuffed with rich cream and ricotta, are just a few of the treats worth tasting, even if you are stuffed after a big holiday meal.

The doors will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and they are closed Christmas day. Standard hours are: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday through Wednesday and 8 a.m.-1 a.m., Thursday through Saturday.
