Merrifest 2015 will be held from 11 a.m., to 3 p.m. August 1 at the Greater Lawrence Community Boathouse 1 Eaton St., Lawrence. Merrifest is a celebration of the Merrimack River hosted by the Merrimack River Watershed Council.It is a gathering of people, artists, businesses, and bands from all around the area. People recognize and learn about the incredible ecosystems and communities along the river and celebrate together. This year's Merrifest is going to be the largest yet. Hundreds of people are expected to attend,The Los Sugar Kings will perform live music, and there will also be local businesses and craftspeople, kids' arts and crafts, face painting, door prizes and much more! Businesses and vendors from the area will hold tables and the banks of the river will be lined with artists. Food and kayak rentals will be available.
