LAWRENCE, MA — The man accused of stabbing his wife to death was arraigned in his hospital bed Tuesday afternoon. Joel Monegro, 32, pleaded not guilty to charges related to the killing of his 28-year-old wife, Yesenia Torres, in their Doyle Street home Monday afternoon. Police responded to the house around 5 p.m. and found the couple suffering from stab wounds from an apparent knife fight between the two. Both were sent to the hospital, where Torres later died.
