Lawrence Man Charged With Trafficking Fentanyl
State police seized approximately 532 grams of fentanyl.

LAWRENCE, MA- A Lawrence man was trafficking drugs when police seized approximately 532 grams of fentanyl, according to state police.
Members of the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit, the Lawrence Police Street Narcotics Unit, and an FBI gang task force, with assistance from New Hampshire State Police, arrested Rosario Lara, 36, of Lawrence.
Investigators set up a meeting to buy fentanyl from Lara on Thursday and agents watched the deal happen from the Tower Hill area in Lawrence. When police closed in on Lara to arrest him he tried to run away but was quickly caught.

He was brought to the Lawrence Police station, where he was booked on a charge of trafficking a Class A narcotic over 200 grams.
