Lawrence School Evacuated Due To Gas Odor

The same school was evacuated last week due to a gas odor, which officials said was unrelated to the explosions and fires in September.

LAWRENCE, MA – A Lawrence elementary school was evacuated Tuesday after a natural gas odor was reported. Students at the Parthum Elementary School were moved to another school as a precaution.

The school was evacuated last week due to a gas odor, which Lawrence Mayor Dan Rivera attributed to a boiler and rooftop unit. Rivera said the evacuations were not related to the gas explosions and fires last month, according to Boston 25.
