The charges against William Scione, 31, of North Andover, were moved to Essex Superior Court following a grand jury indictment.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- William Scione, 31, of North Andover, pleaded not guilty to one count of unlawful placement of an incendiary device in Essex Superior Court following a grand jury indictment last week. Scione had been arrested in February after he allegedly set fire to his ex-girlfriend's driveway on Wood Lane in North Andover. The case had previously been in Lawrence District Court.
According to the Eagle-Tribune, which first reported this story, Scione allegedly soaked a cloth in the spout of a two-gallon container at least partially filled with gasoline. A witness said the fire was six-feet tall and two or three feet wide. Sione is being held pending a dangerousness hearing on July 26.
