Memorial Day In North Andover: What You Need To Know

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- Monday, May 28, is Memorial Day, and the town will be hosting annual parade on Monday. The parade starts at 10 am on the Town Common and concludes with a ceremony at Ridgewood Cemetery. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the North Andover Middle School auditorium.

The holiday also means government offices and some businesses will be closed. Before you head out, check our list of what's open and closed on the holiday

• Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion
• Subway, buses: Sunday schedule.
• Supermarkets: Open
• Convenience stores: Open
• Bars: Open
• Banks: Closed
• Basically anything to do with municipal government: Closed
• Libraries, see above: Closed
• Schools: Closed
• Mail: Express delivery only
• Trash/recycling collection: Delayed one day. Monday pickup on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, etc., ending with Friday pickup on Saturday.
