Methuen Man Wins $1M On Scratch Ticket For Second Time This Year

Jason Williams of Methuen cashed in his ticket this week, which follows a similar prize in January.

METHUEN, MA -- For the second time in 2018, Jason Williams of Methuen has won a $1 million prize on an instant ticket from the Massachusetts State Lottery.

Williams visited Lottery headquarters Tuesday, April 17 to claim his latest prize, which he won playing the “200X” $30 instant game. He won his first $1 million prize playing the “Ultimate Millions” $30 instant game, claiming that windfall on January 10 of this year. As he did with his first prize, Williams chose to receive his most recent winnings in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (less tax withholdings).

Williams purchased his winning “200X” ticket at Howe Street Superette, 163 Howe St. in Methuen. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale. His previous $1 million winning ticket was purchased at Mobil Mart, 789 South Main St. in Haverhill.

Two $15 million prizes and forty-four additional $1 million prizes are still available in the “200X” instant game.
