NAHS Scarlet Knights Marching Band Compete at NESBA North Andover

The Scarlet Knights Marching Band earned bronze at the largest NESBA show ever hosted in North Andover

On September 29th, the North Andover Music Association hosted the largest New England Scholastic Band Association (NESBA) show ever held at the North Andover High School, with 18 high school and college bands performing. Including performers, spectators, volunteers, and band staff/technicians, more than 3,000 people were in attendance.

The North Andover Scarlet Knights marching band made a strong competition debut of its 2018 show “Checkmate”, earning a score of 74.90 and a bronze medal.

In addition to performances by 16 regional high school bands, spectators were treated to finale shows by the UMass Lowell Marching Band and the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Pep Band.

Following their home show, the NAHS marching band competed at NESBA Melrose on October 6th, and were awarded a silver medal with a score of 78.78. The competition season will continue with performances in Wakefield, Billerica, and Reading, and end with a championship competition in Lawrence, MA on November 4th.
