North-Andover based<a href="http://sakenvironmental.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> SAK Environmental </a>was selected by the <a href="http://www.masscec.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Massachusetts Clean Energy Center</a> in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources under the leadership of The Cadmus Group, to provide technical assistance on their geothermal energy grant program.Since 2012, MassCEC and the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources have administered $6 million in pilot programs supporting woody biomass, high efficiency heat pump and district energy technologies at both the residential and commercial scale.Goals of the programs include ensuring the installation of properly designed equipment and collecting accurate and relevant data on system performance. SAK is leading the technical review team to provide design and engineering review of geothermal grant applications with proposed systems. The work includes peer review of design and feasibility studies, construction administration and commissioning.
