North Andover Coronavirus Update: 6 Active Cases, Of 340 Total

With the town's case count dramatically decreased, town facilities including the playgrounds and some basketball courts have reopened.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover reported just six active cases of the coronavirus in the town's latest update, Monday, down from 48 on June 12. A total of 340 residents have tested positive for the virus; 35 have died.

The drop in cases comes as the state continues to permit further activity. Monday marked the beginning of the second part of phase two of the state's reopening: indoor dining and personal services including nail care and massages are permitted.

Much of North Andover's recreation facilities, including the playgrounds and some basketball courts, have reopened. North Andover's school, Grogan's, McEvoy and Aplin basketball courts are open, as of Monday. The Reynolds and Youth Center courts are due to open June 29.
