North Andover Fire Department Welcomes New Firefighters

Two recruits will go through a training program while another recruit graduated this week.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Two new firefighters are joining the North Andover Fire Department.

"Extending a warm welcome to (Firefighter On Probation) FFOP Matthew Caterino and FFOP Marcel Cuffy on joining the ranks of the North Andover Fire Department," a department Facebook post reads.

Over the next several weeks the recruits will participate in a five-week in-house training program. The two recruits will be preparing to attend the ten-week Career Firefighter Recruit Training Program at the Massachusetts Fire Academy in Stow.

"We wish them much luck and a safe career serving the residents of the Town of North Andover," the post reads.

Also, the department reports that Joshua Edwards graduated this week as part of Recruit Class #311 of the Massachusetts Fire Academy Career Recruit Training Program and will serve in the North Andover Fire Department.
