North Andover High School Band and Chorus Students Win 4 Gold Medal Ratings in Virginia!
More than 220 NAHS Music students traveled to Williamsburg, VA on April 14th to perform at the World Strides Heritage Music Festival.

Directed by chorus teacher Sara Durkin and music teacher Justin Smalley, the Scarlet and Black Singers, Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Symphonic Band were each awarded a Gold Medal rating for their outstanding performances at the World Strides Heritage Music Festival in Williamsburg.
The NAHS groups were additionally recognized in their respective classes. The Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band each took 1st Place, with an Adjudicators Award for all scores over 92. The Scarlet and Black Singers took 2nd Place, and the Concert Choir placed 3rd in their class. Frank Zhao also received the Maestro Award for choral accompaniment.
As gold medal winners, all four ensembles earned an invitation to next year’s Festival of Gold in Nashville, TN.
