North Andover High School Choral Ensembles Earn Gold at MICCA

All three NAHS choral ensembles competing at the 2018 MICCA Choral Festival on March 25th were awarded gold medals.

The North Andover High School Concert Choir, Treble Choir, and Scarlet and Black Singers competed in the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) Choral Festival in Westborough, MA on March 25th. All three ensembles earned a gold medal rating and an invitation to perform in the 20th annual MICCA Gold Medal Showcase on Sunday, April 8th at Mechanics Hall in Worcester. Audience admission is free.

Among the 15 ensembles in their judging group, the three NAHS choirs earned the only gold medal ratings awarded. This is especially impressive as the Treble Choir was newly formed this year under the direction of Choral Director, Sara Durkin.
