North Andover High School Chorus Students Perform in MA and NJ.
Just days after performing in Orange County, California, NAHS Chorus students were on the road again!
The North Andover High School Concert Choir and Scarlet and Black Singers competed in the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) Choral Festival in Westborough, MA on April 2nd. Directed by Sara Durkin, the Scarlet and Black Singers were awarded a MICCA Gold Medal Rating, and the Concert Choir received a Silver Medal Rating, missing Gold by only one point.
Following the Festival, the Scarlet and Black Singers were invited to perform in the MICCA Gold Medal Showcase at Symphony Hall in Boston on Saturday, April 15th.
In addition, the Scarlet and Black Singers traveled to Atlantic City, NJ to perform as the featured high school choir ensemble at the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All Eastern Conference held on April 6th. Will Ferguson, tenor, and Emily Cummings, soprano, represented NAHS in the All Eastern Choir.

The Scarlet and Black Singers also plan to perform at the Unitarian Universalist Church in North Andover on Sunday May 7th.
