North Andover To Host Household Hazardous Waste Day

The event provides a safe and convenient way for residents to dispose of household hazardous materials.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover officials are reminding residents about Household Hazardous Waste Day, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at TBI, 210 Holt Road.

The event, hosted by the town’s Department of Public Works, provides a safe and convenient way for residents to dispose of household hazardous materials that should not be placed in regular trash or recycling. Common items accepted include paints, solvents, pesticides, automotive fluids, and other potentially harmful chemicals.

North Andover residents may drop off materials free of charge during the morning hours. Nonresidents are welcome to participate but should arrive between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. only.

Organizers note that proper disposal helps protect the environment and prevents dangerous substances from entering local waterways or harming sanitation workers. Attendees are advised to bring items in original containers if possible and to follow all directions provided by on-site staff.
