North Andover Middle School Will Re-Open Monday
All schools in North Andover will be open on Monday.

The North Andover Middle School was thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and will re-open Monday after a contagious virus closed the school last week, according to Superintendent Kevin Hutchinson on Sunday. The school was cleaned according to Centers of Disease Control’s guidelines.
More than 200 North Andover Middle School students experienced symptoms on Thursday consistent with the Norovirus, according to town and school officials. The school was closed on Friday.
The superintendent last week urged parents to keep students home until they have no symptoms for at least 24 hours to prevent the spread of the virus.

People are typically contagious when they begin to feel sick, and for about 72 hours. Children experiencing vomiting are are risk for dehydration and should be encouraged to drink plenty of fluids. The best way to prevent the virus from spreading is good handwashing.
