North Andover Police Restores Social Media Account
The North Andover Police Department has a new Facebook page with "proper ownership and administrative controls in place."
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The North Andover Police Department has started a new Facebook page "following an extensive audit of the access to and control of department social media," police said in a statement.
In April, police deactivated its Facebook page after a former employee not authorized to use the page posted a comment posing as the department.
The new Facebook page has "proper ownership and administrative controls in place." You can view the page by going here.

“The North Andover Police Department is deeply committed to engaging with our community, being transparent, and sharing our activities with our community. We are pleased that can return to sharing news in an open and professional manner,” Acting Chief Stephen Diminico said in a statement.
