UPDATED: Police Investgating Bank Robbery on Friday

Police are investigating whether this robbery is connected to the People's United Bank robbery on April 4.

UPDATED: The Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union, 334 Winthrop Ave.,was robbed just before 1 p.m. on Friday.

No weapon was shown, no note passed and an undetermined amount of cash was taken, according to North Andover Police.

“We are investigating whether this robbery is connected to the People’s United Bank robbery on April 4 due to the proximity of the banks to each other,” wrote North Andover Police Lt. Eric J. Foulds in an email request for information on the bank robbery. “Suspects in both robberies disguise themselves in a similar manner but the clothing items are all different between the two suspects.”

The suspect is described as a thin white male around 6-feet tall.
