North Andover Police Seek Suspect In Bank Robberies

The man allegedly tried to rob a Bank of America branch on Main Street Tuesday afternoon.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- North Andover Police believe the man who tried to rob a Bank of America branch on Main Street Tuesday afternoon is the same suspect who made off with an undisclosed amount of money in a June 4 robbery of a Bank of America branch in Salem, NH. Police released a photo of the suspect taken from surveillance footage in Tuesday's attempted robbery.

Police were called to the branch at 2:34 pm Tuesday. The susp[ect had passed a note to the teller but fled without taking any money. The suspect is believed to be in his mid- to late-twenties. He is approximately 5'10" and slender. he has some pockmarks and freckles, according to police.

The man fled the June 4 robbery in Salem a newer model, grey, Honda CRV. North Andover Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect or robberies to call detectives at 978-683-3168.
