North Andover Rain Barrel Sale

North Andover has partnered with The Great American Rain Barrel Company to offer recycled barrels to residents as part of a community wide water conservation program. North Andover also continues to offer Earth Machine™ backyard composters for sale through the Department of Public Works.

Barrels and compost bins will be available for pick up during the Town’s Earth Day celebration on Saturday, May 2nd from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the North Andover DPW, 384 Osgood Street.

The Great American Rain Barrel Company recommends one barrel for every 100 square feet of garden. Homeowners can easily connect the rain barrels to their downspouts and offset their watering needs.

Compost can eliminate up to 30% of your garden watering needs. The Earth Machine™ composter has a ten year warranty and is designed for easy, passive composting. The finished compost is ready in 4 to 6 months. Combining a rain barrel with a composter can save a significant amount of water!

North Andover is offering the Great American Rain Barrel at the low cost of $75 versus the retail price of $119. The deadline for a rain barrel purchase is April 25 at 5:00 PM.

The Earth Machine™ compost bins can be purchased for $43 during regular DPW hours or at the Earth Day event. Checks only please, made payable to the Town of North Andover.
