North Andover Select Board Meeting Rescheduled Due To Winter Storm

The Select Board will consider adopting the 2027 budget, opioid settlement funding recommendations, and several spring event requests.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The North Andover Select Board is set to take up several major items at its next meeting, including a vote to adopt the Fiscal Year 2027 Town Manager Recommended Budget.

The meeting was originally scheduled for Monday but was rescheduled for March 2 due to the winter storm.

The meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Select Board Room at Town Hall, will also feature a request from the North Andover Housing Authority for a letter of support to convert its federal public housing portfolio to a project-based voucher program.

Board members are also expected to review opioid settlement funding recommendations.

Several community event requests are on the agenda, including North Andover Youth Baseball’s request to use Water, Main, Waverly and Dana streets for its Opening Day parade May 2 from 8:15 to 10 a.m.

The Festival Committee is seeking approval to host multiple events at the Town Common, including Sheep Shearing on May 17, the annual reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, a Santa Parade on Nov. 28, a tree lighting on Nov. 29, and a menorah lighting celebration in December.

In licensing business, Oak and Iron Brewing, Inc. has applied for a one-day wine and malt liquor license for May 17 at the Town Common.

Public comment will be limited to 15 minutes.
