NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Sudbury Town Manager Melissa Murphy-Rodrigues was named North Andover's new town manager. Murphy-Rodrigues replaces Andrew Maylor, who left the position to become the state comptroller. She was unanimously chosen from a field of four finalists after a months-long search.

"I’m really excited that we attracted quality candidates, interviewed 4 talented finalists, and that our Board came to agreement on how to move forward as a community. It’s inspiring to see how many people wanted to join North Andover’s team," Selectman Phil DeCologero wrote on Facebook Tuesday morning.

Murphy-Rodrigues was chosen over North Andover School District Assistant Superintendent Jim Mealey, former Salem, New Hampshire, Town Manager Leon Goodwin III and Tyngsborough Town Administrator Matthew Hanson.
