North Andover Summer Intern Positions Available

There are several intern positions available this summer in North Andover. There are also intern opportunities listed on the North Andover Patch Jobs Page.

• Public Health Department: The primary goal will be to determine how to get the public’s interest in health related issues. Conduct research to identify various communication methods such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. and to test at least one communication solution that will allow public health messages to reach the citizens in a meaningful way and result in positive change in their lives. The intern will be involved with the complete process of reviewing applications for summer related programs such as recreational camps for children, public swimming pools, mosquito control, etc. and accompany staff on off-site inspections.
• Drinking Water Treatment Plant: Under the direction of the Lab Director and the Lab Assistant this position assists in the day to day procedures and learns sterilization techniques. Perform data entry and assist in keeping the lab clean
• Lab Assistant: Under the direction of the Lab Director this position will collect distribution, brook and water samples; run basis test; learn sterilization and recordkeeping procedures. Perform data entry and assist in keeping the lab clean.
• Summer Employment DPW: Mow grass, spread mulch, fill pot holes, lift and carry tree branches to place in a chipper or vehicle.
