North Andover Water Treatment "Having Difficulty" With Demand

Most of New England is experiencing "abnormally dry conditions," according to the U.S. drought monitor.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The North Andover Water Treatment Plant is having difficulty keeping up with the town's water demands, amid unusually dry conditions, the town said Sunday.

Town officials are asking residents to do their best to conserve water.

According to the Northeast Drought Early Warning System, as of June 16, most of New England is experiencing abnormally dry conditions, including nearly all of Massachusetts. No areas are currently experiencing a drought.
