Concord Police issue summonses to four Massachusetts residents on alcohol charges; one faces a urination violation.

A shopping trip to L.L. Bean has turned into a trip to court later this month for four residents of the Bay State.

According to Concord Police summons reports, Michael J. Silkes, 22, of Paris Street in Medford, MA, was charged at 7:20 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2015, for transportation of alcohol/open container and public disposal of human waste-city ordinance. Spanos, 21, of Meadowview Road in North Andover, MA; and Richard Silkes, 50, of Vera Road in Middleton, MA, who were all charged with transportation of alcohol/open container.

A customer of the store reported to an employee that she saw a man urinating in the parking lot. The suspect was also in the store, according to the report. Police arrived and spoke to the store employee who stated that the man had left and was heading to a vehicle in the lot. The officer spoke to the witness who stated that she saw the man peeing on the ground and told him that he shouldn’t be doing that.

“I know,” he reportedly replied, while chuckling.

Another officer caught up with four individuals in the vehicle and allegedly observed open beer cans in the front and center console of the vehicle. The reporting officer spoke with the second officer and stated that the man in the red sweatpants was the one who allegedly urinated in the parking lot.

“I asked Matthew who urinated outside the vehicle,” according to the report. “Matthew smiled and looked at his brother Michael in the rear seat. Matthew stated that he did not know who urinated outside the vehicle.”

None of the other occupants was wearing red sweatpants though, the report stated.

Since all the occupants were in the presence of open containers, they all received summonses.

Spanos, according to the report, denied drinking and agreed to a portable breath test and blew a 0.00.

Michael Silkes allegedly had bloodshot, watery eyes, and smelled like alcohol. He speech was slightly slurred and appeared to be intoxicated, according to the report.

Matthew Silkes also appeared to be intoxicated, according to the report.

Richard Silkes, the father of the two, allegedly “stated that he would take responsibility for the alcohol in the vehicle in order to keep the other occupants from getting into trouble,” according to the report. He also reportedly showed no signs of impairment.

All are due in court on Feb. 16.
