North Andover Spent Approximately $1.8 Million on Snow and Ice Removal
Town Manager has submitted documentation to the state and federal government in consideration of possible financial assistance.

The historic snowfall this winter in such a short period of time definitely took its toll on snow removal budgets in Massachusetts.
North Andover budgeted $875,000 for snow removal in the Fiscal year 2015 budget, and reserved another $165,000 if needed, according to Town Manager Andrew W. Maylor.
It was needed.

“ We have spent approximately $1.8 million to date, have submitted documentation to the state and federal government in consideration of possible assistance for the four major events from January 26th through February,“ Maylor wrote in an email.
The snow removal budget currently has a deficit of approximately $760,000.
