Obituary: Barbara Ann (Winters) Quinn, Active at St. Michael's Parish, the Bon Secours Auxiliary

QUINN, (Winters) Barbara Ann, Of North Andover, died Tuesday, November 4,
2014 at The Meadows in North Andover after an illness. Mrs. Quinn was
born in Lawrence, MA on October 10, 1928 to Robert and Nora Winters.
She was a graduate of St. Patrick’s School in Lawrence and St. John’s
Hospital School of Nursing in Lowell. Over her six decades as a resident
of North Andover, Barbara was active at Saint Michael’s Parish and
School, the Bon Secours Auxiliary, the Garden Clubs of North Andover and
Andover, the Ladies of Merrimack and the Women of Northern Essex
Community College. She was a hard-working and talented woman who put a
great deal of effort, love and skill towards everything that she did
including her nursing career, her children, her volunteer work, her
grandchildren and her husband Edmund to whom she was married to for 56
years until his passing in 2010. Barbara is survived by her son Dr. Edmund P. Quinn Jr. and wife Dianne C. Quinn of Southington, CT, her daughter Kathleen Q. Sullivan and her
husband Dr. Richard F. Sullivan of Hanover, MA, her son Joseph L. Quinn
and his wife Susan E. Quinn of Trumbull, CT and her son Patrick K. Quinn
and his wife Kristin L. Quinn, of Stratham, NH, as well as nine
grandchildren: Kaitlin Quinn, Kristin Quinn, Richard Sullivan, Bryan
Sullivan, Joseph Quinn, Sally Quinn, Caroline Quinn, Patrick Quinn and
Kelsey Quinn. Barbara was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Hooper, of
Jacksonville, FL, Helen Del Duca of Methuen, MA, Rita Whittaker of North
Andover, MA, and her brother, Robert Winters of Arlington, MA. Barbara
is also survived by her brother in law, Rev. Robert Quinn, CSP of
Winchester, MA, her sister in law, Mary Winters, of Arlington, MA, and
many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 am
at St. Michael’s Church, North Andover. Burial will follow in Ridgewood
Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 pm at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third
Street, NORTH ANDOVER, MA 01845. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be
