Obituary: Elizabeth Barrows Watson, MD, Anesthesiologist

Elizabeth Barrows Watson, MD, of North Andover, died on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Born in Boston, Ma, Elizabeth attended The Chapin School in New York City and graduated from Smith College in 1948. She graduated from Cornell Medical College in 1952. She was an anesthesiologist at Bryn Mawr Hospital and later moved to North Andover, where she practiced at Bon Secours, now Holy Family Hospital.

Elizabeth is survived by her two sisters, Frances Barrows Harvan and Lila Hester Barrows. She was predeceased by husband, Frank Janney Watson, Jr.; her parents, David Nye Barrows, MD and Frances (Scoville) Barrows; and a sister, Anne Barrows Bonner.

Friends are invited to funeral services to be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11am in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery. At the request of the family, there are no calling hours.
