Obituary: Janet (Sheehan) Boisvert, Owned the Shawsheen Luncheonette in Andover For Over 30 Years

Accomplished painter, seamstress and wood carver.

Janet (Sheehan) Boisvert, 84, of North Andover, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loving husband Roland Boisvert on Saturday, February 14, 2015.

She was born, raised and educated in Bradford, Ma graduating from Haverhill High School and Burdette Business School. Following graduation she worked for Karelis Jewelers until meeting and marrying the love of her life, Roland. They went on to own and manage the Shawsheen Luncheonette for 33 years. Janet also worked at Raytheon in Andover for 10 years before she and Roland retired to Naples, Florida where they enjoyed 25 years of sun, golf and the friendship of many.

Janet was an accomplished painter, seamstress and wood carver. She spent many years studying painting with the late Ron Goyette, her friend and business partner. She worked with 50 art galleries representing his paintings and prints.

Above all, Janet will be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother and Nana. Besides her loving husband, Janet leaves two daughters, Cindi (Boisvert) Richard, wife of the late Roger Richard, Sandi (Boisvert) DiSalvo and her husband, John DiSalvo; two sons David Boisvert and his wife, Pilar Boisvert, Alan Boisvert and his wife, Lynn (Wilson-Prentiss) Boisvert and 8 grandchildren: Steven Richard, Christopher Boisvert, Tom Boisvert, Michelle Boisvert, James Boisvert, Jake DiSalvo, Luke DiSalvo, and Seth DiSalvo; She also leaves behind her three sisters-in-law: Marlene Sheehan wife of her late brother Frank Sheehan, Claire Poirier and Yolanda St. Gelais and her husband Wes St. Gelais as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover, Ma. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 10 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, North Andover. Burial will follow at West Parish Cemetery in Andover, Ma.
