John Philip Letarte 59, of Lowell, formerly of North Andover, died Monday at Beth Isreal Hospital in Boston after a brief illness.
John was born in Leominster, Massachusetts on January 9, 1955 to the late Norman and Alice ( Houde) Letarte.
He was a graduate of St Michaels Grammar School and North Andover High School and was employed as a machinist at Kenics Corporation.
John was an avid Boston sports fan and fisherman.
He is survived by his twin sister, Jane Letarte-Hoegen and her husband Steven of North Andover and his brother Richard W. Letarte and his wife Edna of

Las Vegas, NV. Also among his survivors are his niece Heather Curtin of Omaha, NE.. his sister-in-law, Charlane Letarte-Chapman of Auburn, ME. and his
companion, Joy Little of Lowell, Ma. John was predeceased by his sister, Linda Letarte-Curtin and his brother Steven G. Letarte.

A funeral service will be held at a later date.
