Obituary: Theodore J. Meadows, Owned Meadows Kennel For Over 50 Years

Was an award winning dog owner who raised champion greyhounds. Was well-respected in the breeding and racing business

Theodore J. Meadows, 90, of Springhill, FL; formerly of North Andover, MA, died December 14, 2014 at the Lawrence General Hospital. He was born in Saugus, MA on Jan. 12, 1924 to the late Alfred and Lottie Meadows.
Teddy owned Meadows Kennel in North Andover, MA and Hialeah, FL for over 50 years. Teddy was an award winning owner who raised champion greyhounds and was well respected in the breeding and racing business for many years. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed watching tournaments and going to the driving range.
Teddy was predeceased by his wife Florence (Wood) Meadows and his daughter Charlene Meadows. His brothers Alfred, Edmund and Mitchell, sisters Jean Janicki and Lottie Faithful.

Teddy is survived by his sister, Patty Marra of Gulf Shores, AL, his son, Randy Meadows and his wife Maryjane (Rusty) of North Andover, his daughter, Melanie Dube and her friend Michael Javery of North Andover, Grandchildren, Elizabeth Bothwell and her husband David, Benjamin Meadows and Ellen Meadows, great grandsons, Quinn and Reece Bothwell. Extended family member Ryan Klapper, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday January 3, 2014 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover, Ma. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
