Obituary: Thomas Jay Thomas, Served in the U.S. Air Force During the Korean War

Thomas Jay Thomas, 82, of North Andover, passed away on November 12.

Tom was born in Iowa and raised in Melrose, MA. He served for four years in the US Air Force during the Korean War and received an honorable discharge. For the next thirty years, he worked as a comptroller at Grieco Brothers in Lawrence. Tom and his wife, Edna G. Thomas, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August. He is survived by a son, Nicholas Thomas, a daughter, Anita Koolen, and three granddaughters. Throughout his life, Tom very much enjoyed fly-fishing, sailing, writing and telling stories.
Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tom’s name to Lawrence General Hospital.
