Police Log: Suspicious Package Contained Tide Pods, Not Drugs

ANDOVER, MA — Andover police responded to a 911 call from Royal Crest Dr. about a suspicious package, "possibly drugs," by the caller's neighbor's door Sunday. On the scene, the officer found a package containing Tide Pods. In early 2018, there was a brief period where people filmed videos of themselves doing the "Tide Pod Challenge," where they ate the laundry detergent pods, but that unsafe trend seems to have subsided. Police reported "no issues."
