Rescuers On Scene After Plane Found In Merrimack River: Reports
Only the pilot was on board, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Rescue efforts are underway after a small plane was found crashed in the Merrimack River Monday afternoon, according to multiple reports.
The plane, a single-engine Van’s RV-6A, crashed into the Merrimack River in Lawrence around 2:15 p.m. Monday, the Federal Aviation Administration told Patch. Only the pilot was on board.
Firefighters and a Massachusetts State Police dive team have been dispatched, according to Boston25.
