Route 114 Construction To Begin In North Andover
Temporary lane shifts and closures are anticipated during the project, according to Mass DOT.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Early construction work is set to begin next week on a long-planned roadway improvement project along Route 114 in North Andover, state officials said.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, preparatory activities for the Route 114 Corridor Improvements project will start Monday and continue throughout the construction season.
Initial work will include surveying, installation of construction signage and general site preparation along Turnpike Street between Waverly Road and Willow Street. More intensive activity is expected in mid-May, including tree work, test pit excavation, median construction and demolition of four structures near the Route 114 and Hillside Road intersection.

Work is scheduled on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with temporary lane shifts and closures anticipated. Officials said access for residents, businesses and emergency services will be maintained, though drivers should expect delays and use caution in the area.
A public information meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the Merrimack College Arcidi Center, 20 Rockridge Road in Andover.
