Save the Date: New England Authors Expo

The New England Authors Expo is the largest grassroots literary event in New England with over 200 authors. illustrators, publishers, printers and other publishing professionals present. Each of the authors will have signed copies of their books for sale representing genres including mystery, suspense, fantasy, science fiction, romance, horror, history, true crime, children’s and young adult. Admission is FREE to the public and includes a raffle ticket for one of the great door prizes. There will also be presentations geared to answer questions about becoming an author covering such topics as how to begin, and options for getting published.

When: The New England Authors Expo will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 at the Danvers Yacht Club, 161 Elliott Street (Rte. 62), Danvers.

What’s New: Mini Comic-con: Last year the Harborview Ballroom sold out, so this year the event is expanding to include the Garden Terrace. In the Harborview Ballroom there will be non-fiction, poetry, mysteries, children’s books, true crime, romance and history authors including publishers, printers, illustrators and other publishing professionals. The Garden Terrace will be a mini comic-com including horror, sci-fi, fantasy, comic books and graphic novels authors, illustrators, artists, comic book companies and stores.

“All of our events strive to connect the reader with the author”, said Chris Obert, Founder of the
NEAE and owner of Pear Tree Publishing in a news release. “At our events, readers have the ability to meet authors, illustrators and other publishing professionals. They can ask them directly about their plots, how storylines unfold and even how they got started writing or drawing. Authors get to meet readers and promote their work to a new audience while at the same event network with other publishing professionals as well, it’s a win-win.”
