Severe Thunderstorms Tuesday Afternoon into Evening

A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

While the main potential for this activity is to the northwest of Boston to the Providence line, the highest risk exists across western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.

The main risk with any strong to severe thunderstorm will be isolated, damaging wind gusts and hail the size of quarters. Dangerous cloud to ground lightning and locally heavy rainfall may result in poor drainage street flooding.
