Smolak Farms Wins Boston Magazine 'Best Of Boston' Award

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover's Smolak Farms was awarded the "Best Family-Friendly Activity, North" award in Boston Magazine's annual Best Of Boston issue, published this week.

Boston Magazine sends judges to restaurants, activities and green spaces all over the Boston region, and the August issue revealed the winners in eight categories. Smolak Farms was one of four winners, along with Salem's Oak and Moss boutique, Stoneham's Middlesex Fells Reservation and Lynn's Nightshade Noodle Bar.

Smolak Farms's entry praises the farm for its educational programs and other activities.

"Open year round, Smolak’s commitment to sustainability shows up in its dedication to teaching future generations the importance of family farms," the award reads. "Educational tours interesting enough to keep the adults entertained are bolstered by animals to feed and a robust pick-your-own schedule. A kids’ club, meanwhile, offers special access and discounts to future events like breakfast with Mrs. Claus and Easter egg hunts."
