Stevens Memorial Library Opens Its Renovated Historic Entrance

The major renovation of the library's historic entrance stairs is complete.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — We’re pleased to announce the Library’s historic doors are open. The renovation of the Library’s Historic Entrance stairs is complete, with just reseeding the lawn left to be done in the spring. Plans for a celebration are being made and will be shared when confirmed. (The temporary entrance is now closed.)

A major undertaking, the project removed staircases and rebuilt them, removed doors and windows to build a new foundation wall below the Historic Doors and the staircase, installed a bigger drainage system to divert water from the building, and repointed a large section of the building’s facade. For more information on the project, visit the Historic Steps project here.
