Programs include Movies, Music, Science Programs, Storytimes, Family Board Games, Creative Cosplay, & Happy Noon Year Celebration.

Stevens Memorial Library – Staycation Week, 12/27-12/31

The Stevens Memorial Library is excited to offer additional programs during the week of December 27 through December 31. Not everyone travels that week so we want you, your family & friends to visit the library. Here is the schedule of programs planned for all ages, mark your calendars:

Sunday 12/25 - Library Closed

Tuesday 12/27

  • Children’s Movie 10:30am - Rated PG 105 minutes Movie Clue: A fish and her 3 friends, living in a reef, travel across the ocean on a life changing adventure to find the real meaning of family.
  • Slimy Science 1:30-3pm - fun for the whole family Science experiment fun. Come and play with things sticky, slimy, gross and gooey!
  • Children’s Movie 6:30pm - Rated PG 102 minutes Movie Clue: A young boy must defeat a vengeful spirit by finding a magical suit of armor worn by his late father, the greatest samurai warrior the world has ever known.

Wednesday 12/28

  • Music with Shahram 10:30am Come join Shahram as he sings songs (he loves Sesame Street) while Mr. Steve plays the guitar.
  • Construction Zone 12:30-2pm - School Age We will be making paper airplanes, including stunt planes and we will see which ones go the furthest.
  • Creative Cosplay 3-4:30pm - Ages 10+ Create a costume for cosplay with a professional costume designer. We will have sewing machines, an assortment of fabrics and craft supplies. Bring your idea for a character and we can get you started.
  • Family Board Games 6:30-7:30pm Come try out some of our board games! Favorites include Spot It, Chutes and Ladders, Pictionary and Dominoes!

Thursday 12/29

  • Oh, Baby! Lapsit 10:30am - (0-18 months) Siblings are welcome.
  • Migration Obstacle Course 1:30-3pm - Ages 7+ Would you love to soar like a bird? Think flying away from the snow is easy? Come see what it’s like for a bird to fly south for the winter!
  • Children’s Movie 6:30pm - Rated PG 105 minutes Movie Clue: A fish and her 3 friends, living in a reef, travel across the ocean on a life changing adventure to find the real meaning of family.

Friday 12/30

  • On Our Own Preschool Storytime at 10:30am - Ages 3-5 years Siblings are welcome.
  • Children’s Movie at 2:30pm - Rated PG 105 minutes Movie Clue: A fish and her 3 friends, living in a reef, travel across the ocean on a life changing adventure to find the real meaning of family.

Saturday 12/31

  • Happy Noon Year Celebration from 10:30-12pm Join us for crafts and games and a New Year’s countdown… at noon!

All Events are Free. No Registration Required. Caregivers must stay with children during the activity.
