HAVERHILL, MA — A teenager died in a single-car crash on Route 495 in Haverhill Sunday night, police said. Dasia Houtman, 18, of Haverhill was driving southbound in a 2004 Saturn ION when the vehicle drove off the road and struck a tree, State Police said Monday. Houtman was pronounced dead at the scene.The reasons for the crash, which occurred shortly before 10 p.m. north of Exit 51, are being investigated.
