Tornado Watch Until 11 p.m. For North Andover

Forecasters say conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms to spawn tornadoes

A tornado watch is now in effect until 11 Tuesday night for most of southern New England, according to the National Weather Service.

The tornado watch was issued just before 4 this afternoon, and includes Essex, Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, Nantucket, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk and Worcester counties.

For most of the day, much of the state has been under a severe thunderstorm watch for Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night.
