Phosphorus becomes the limiting nutrient in freshwaters. Availability of excess useable phosphorus from overfertilization of lawns, improperly functioning sanitary systems, and domestic animal waste can have a significant effect on the ecological balance of a lake. This may lead to algal blooms, overgrowth of plants, fish kills, and various other undesirable results.
By working together, we can ensure our lake remains clean, vibrant, and enjoyable for all. Thank you for being a steward of our precious watershed.
